Makro has a decent sized car park. Toilets cafe, great selection of products. Used to be better. I noticed something that I didn’t like but to be fair when I pointed it out to a member of staff the offending articles were quickly removed. Mouldy naan breads albeit they were still in date.

Very disappointing experience today. Arrived at the store to pick up business supplies to be told I couldn’t enter with my children. Apparently under 16s are banned due to the pandemic, i didn’t receive any emails stating this. The store was very quiet, about 4 cars in the car park. I would have expected a wholesaler to support small businesses and expect the business owners to need to take their children with them during the summer holidays. So I couldn’t get my suppliers and will have an ongoing issue throughout the summer holidays. Makro please support the small businesses, it’s been an incredibly hard time for us.
We have a makro card and we've used the Bristol store when visiting my in-laws and thought we would try our local store. I'm super happy with how serious the staff are treating this pandemic! I've got quite bad asthma and other health problems but I am still wearing a mask. Sanitizer to clean your hands everywhere, wipes and fluid to clean your trolley, there is even wall dividers between each till. It is big enough so we can get around and bulk buy our essentials and hardly come close to anyone. The staff are always super kind and helpful as well. We have found driving directly through Newcastle under Lyme takes longer, so get off at junction 16 and loop round. It says it's longer but it takes off like 5-10 minutes of your journey then you can just jump back on the motorway again. Really good store :)
